PRE-INSTALLATION CARE
Rinse the hair under warm water. It is important that you keep the silver band around the bundle during this process to avoid tangling. Run your fingers through the hair. Set out to air dry. Once dry, the hair should be tangle and shed free. If you detect any problems during this pre-installation process, please contact us immediately.
We stand behind the quality of our hair. In the rare case that you experience any excessive matting, shedding or tangling within the first week due to a manufacturing issue, please contact us for further consultation. During the consultation we may recommend that the installation be removed and returned to the place of purchase for testing.
INSTALLATION CARE
When installing The Bougie Collection extensions with a needle, it is recommended that you sew around the weft rather than through. Putting a needle through the weft will weaken the structure and cause shedding.
MAINTENANCE CARE
We suggest that you have your stylist trim the ends, especially if you plan on doing a lot of heat styling. Hot tools can contribute to split ends, shortening the life of your extensions. Shampoo and condition weekly to maintain softness and manageability. Use sulfate free shampoo. It is suggested that you visit your stylist regularly to have your hair and extensions shampooed, especially when wearing a sewn-in installation. It is critical that hair is properly cleansed and dried. Hair extensions should not be handled rigorously and should always be shampooed in a downward motion. Keep styling products to a minimum to prevent weighing down the hair.

Body Wave
Straightens easily with flat iron. Texture allows for long-lasting curls. Returns to its original wave pattern after every shampoo and condition. To define waves:
• Use paddle brush to detangle wet hair;
• Distribute product evenly;
• Scrunch
• Allow hair to air dry or use diffuser for more volume.
Handling the hair during the drying process can cause frizziness. If a fuller look is desired, wait until hair is completely dry to manipulate.
Product Suggestions:
• Organic/All Natural Argon Oil, Olive Oil Or Coconut Oil
• Curl defining crème, spray, mousse, etc.
• Please note: Curl defining products are more effective when applied to wet hair. Mix these products with a natural oil to maintain softness and manageability.
Signature Curl
Can be straightened with the use of blow dryer and flat iron. Texture allows for long-lasting curls. A curling wand/iron may be used at a low temperature to blend with natural hair or define curls.
To define curls:
• Use paddle brush to detangle wet hair;
• Distribute product evenly;
• Scrunch
• Allow to air dry or use diffuser for more defined curls and volume.
